6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup almonds
1 pint whipping cream
1/3 cup brandy
2/3 cup chocolate syrup
1 quart coffee ice cream, softened
Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish
(optional)
TO PREPARE:
1. In a blender or food processor, coarsely chop chocolate
chips and almonds.
2. In a large bowl, mix whipping cream, brandy and
chocolate syrup. Beat until thickened but not stiff.
Fold in ice cream, chopped chocolate and almonds.
3. Freeze, uncovered, until solid on top but still soft
inside. Remove from freezer. Stir well to bring chips
and almonds up from bottom of bowl. Cover and freeze
until solid. Mixture will keep in the freezer for
several months.
4. To serve, spoon frozen mixture into individual serving
dishes and garnish with whipped cream and chocolate
shavings, if desired.
NOTE: Easy, yet sophisticated.
